Alachua County Animal Resources is the municipal animal shelter for Alachua County. We are an open admission shelter that practices managed intakes.
What We Do
Alachua County Animal Resources is committed to CARE: Community, Adoption, Reuniting, and Education.
We accomplish our mission through education, adoption, sheltering, enforcement, and the rescue of animals that may be stray, injured, unwanted, neglected, or abused.
Attending a Hands-On training is session required for new volunteers before they can sign up for other opportunities.
